Read full description of the books Celtic Fairy Tales:An interesting collection of fairy tales for young readers. While this is marketed as Celtic fairy tales, there are several tales in this collection that are just too similar to other fairy tales from different European countries, especially Germany and Czech Republic.
Of course, the oral tradition knew no borders, so it is entirely possible that these could be, in fact, traditional Celtic tales that were accepted elsewhere and found their way to the folklore of that country, but it makes one wonder.
Overall, this book was a pleasant look back to a time where magic still meant something to young readers.
