Sure Coco changed (a bit) her opinion about the kids when she get to know them but it wasn't addressed how problematic her view was (read: is), and, of course, she was right - there were robberies and her own shop was robbed / her brother was shot because of some of these "thugs".

And both characters (and the author) needs some basic sex ed ASAP.
