Read full description of the books Saint Jude:There's an art to going crazy. It's an art Taylor knows all too well.
Suffering from manic-depressive illness, Taylor spends her senior year of high school at a place called Saint Jude's-- essentially a group home for teenagers with mental illnesses. The house becomes both her prison and retreat as she copes with an absent father, an ever-distant mother, and a group of peers diagnosed with everything from "garden variety" depression to schizophrenia. She continually returns to the musical haven offered by her guitar and immerses herself in her budding songwriting skills, cajoling her muse with tales of her new-found boyfriend, the mysterious new therapist, and the fine art of learning that mental illness is what you have, not who you are.
