Read full description of the books Secret of the Dragon's Breath: Book Two:"Secret of the Dragon's Breath" continues the adventures of Gavin Kane, Emily Scott, and Bunty Digby, thirteen-year-olds who continue to struggle with their daily lives, during the spring of 1941. While relatively safe on the north Cornish coast, the teens are well aware that England is under constant threat, as the Germans continue to bomb London and the surrounding industrial cities. While these friends have learned to cope with air raid sirens and strict rationing, they're soon faced with another sinister attempt to bring Britain to her knees. Yet with the addition of several new characters, the teenagers discover the true meaning of friendship from these unusual allies. "Secret of the Dragon's Breath" also marks the return of that high-spirited dragon, Sir Thaddeus Osbert, who not only breathes fire, but also craves sugar. Faced with danger and intrigue, the teens call upon their dragon friend to help them battle the Nazis, who are determined to win the war, no matter what the cost. With a terrible new force threatening their beloved England, it's up to Gavin, Bunty, and Emily to seek out a magical solution. When their favorite dragon unleashes yet another secret power, you can be assured the outcome will not only be exciting, but full of long-lasting implications as well.

SO, ever since I was growing up in a small town in Wisconsin, I have had a very fertile imagination. I'm officially a Boomer and was influenced by TV (Man from UNCLE, I Spy, Combat, and many more)and movies (Great Escape, John Wayne anything, Zulu, Where Eagles Dare, The Longest Day), again the list is endless. Then we moved to Chicago, which I still call home.
Sometime during my high school days, and heavily influenced by Alistair MacLean, Hammond Innes, and Jack Higgins, I decided I wanted to write action/adventure novels. I dabbled, but it wasn't until college, where Rinda West, my Creative Writing professor, suggested I had talent, that I seriously began pursuing the craft of writing fiction.
I love to write. In fact, it is my greatest passion. Writing is an addiction for me, which goes hand-in-hand with reading. I am a voracious reader as well. For many years, writing was a hobby. Then I met Carla Malerba and she insisted I seek publication. The rest is history. I can't possibly convey the power Carla instilled in me, but I owe her everything when it comes to my author success.
While balancing a "real" job, I am currently editing 2 completed novels, working on 8 more that are in all states of progression, and researching 12 more novels in the outline and development stage. Prolific is a term often associated with me.
Writing is also a continuous learning cycle that I truly savor. Every book published is better than the previous one and the lessons are profound.
