I got about 75% through this book but couldn't finish it. The story goes against everything I believe in, being adulterous and the fact that the adultry is viewed in a sympathetic light. The reader here is expected to understand and cheer them along as they conquer all odds. No. This left a very bad taste in my mouth.
I'm a huge fan of Jane Jackson. I'm just glad this wasn't my first book by her because it would really put me off her other stuff. Jane can (and HAS) done better. Her other books have been clean reads. This one seemed as though it was trying to buck every convention of its time.
A huge disappointment.
